Do I need an account to order products?

You do not need an account to order products.

How can I order a product?

1: Place an item in the ‘shopping cart’
2: Fill in your personal information
3: Choose between the options of payment
4: Place your order by clicking on the ‘Pay and Order’ button

At the time I placed an item in the shopping cart, it was still in stock. When I came to checkout, it was out of stock. How is this possible?

We receive a lot of orders in one day. There is a chance that your chosen product became out of stock during your purchase process.

What are the costs of shipping and/or return? 

Good news! Evan Red has free shipping worldwide!

Costs of return are for the customer and can vary for each country. We advise you to check the website of a company that offers these services.

Which courier is shipping my order?

For Netherlands and Belgium, your order will be shipped by PostNL.
For the rest of Europe (excl. Norway and Switzerland) your order will be shipped by DPD.
For the rest of the world your order will be shipped by UPS Express 7.

How can I pay for my order?

We offer multiple options for payment. You can pay with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, iDeal, Klarna, Bancontact/MrCash, Sofort, Apple Pay and Paypal.

Can I use a different shipping address to my billing address?

The billing address must be linked to the credit card or payment provider you will be using when you will place the order. We would recommend shipping to the billing address however it is possible to ship to an alternative address.

What is the delivery time of my order?

As soon as we receive your order on our site, it's instantaneously transmitted to our shipping team where the address data is then automatically passed on to the delivery courier. In the meantime your products are carefully packed and boxed, ready for shipping. If you are in the Netherlands, your order will be delivered within the next day. Within Europe, US and Canada your order will normally be delivered within 3 days after you’ve placed your order. Outside these regions expect a delivery time of about 6 days. You will receive an email containing your tracking code as soon as your package has been send. With this tracking code you can trace your package.

How can I check the status of my shipment?

You can track your package with the tracking code you’ve received in the confirmation e-mail we’ve sent you after you placed your order.

My order hasn’t been delivered after 1-6 workdays, what now?

It is possible it will take longer before you get your items. When it takes longer than one week, we recommend you to get in touch with our customer service via info@evanred.com.

Can I return my items?

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your online purchase, you can return your items within 30 days after you’ve received the package (at your own costs). The items must be returned in their original state and the labels should still be attached.

Items cannot be exchanged for other items, if you want another colour or product you can return your ordered product. We will then remit the purchase amount within 5 working days after receipt. In the meantime, you can order the item you want in our webshop.

If you want to return an item, please fill in the return form, print it and include it the box your goods were send in. If you need assistance on this matter, please fill free to contact info@evanred.com. Notice! Always mention your order number when you return something.

All items will be inspected when we receive them. The items must be returned undamaged and labels should be still attached to the item. When items are damaged or are in another unacceptable state, they will be send to our customer service. By agreement it is possible to send you by charged delivery.
Within 5 days after receipt you will receive your repayment for the returned items on the account that you have used for the original acquisition. We are not liable for items that have been incorrectly returned. Please, at all times ask for a track and trace code when you want to send your item(s) back. Without this code, we cannot help you in case of loss by the shipping company.

What about leather maintenance?

The premium vegetable tanned leather we use does mark quite easily. If you discover a light surface mark on your leather product, this can be easily buffed away with a dry finger or soft cloth. Alternatively, it can be left alone to add character to the ever-changing gloss of the leather that makes each and every one of our Evan Red products so unique.

When the leather gets wet it ages and hardens a little. First of all let the bag dry out naturally and not too close to direct heat. To get it soft again, you can use leather wax or oil you can find at your local leather smith or shoe shop. Every wax, balm or oil has a different effect so please apply on a small corner first. 

Our bags hold up really well in the rain but they are not waterproof. If you really want to waterproof the bag, you can use ScotchGuard.  We recommend that you speak to a company in your local area that stocks the product to get their advice on the most suitable product for your needs.

What leather are Evan Red products made of?

Evan Red uses premium leather across the range of our products. As this is a natural material, it will soften and age over time.The influences of sun, oil and water develops a one of a kind gloss on leather which makes every one of our products unique.

The look of the leather is not what I was expecting?

If the appearance of the leather on your product is not exactly what you were expecting, please read on.
We try our best to represent the leather as best we can with our photos, however, our premium leather is a natural material and as such always has variation in colour, shade and grain in every single skin, making each of our products unique.
We are unable to individually select products for specific orders based on the appearance of the leather in our photos.

Evan Red products are designed in The Netherlands where we have a gifted team of designers.

Where are Evan Red products made?

We’re committed to working with the most talented people we can find around the world, no matter where they’re from. Currently, makers in China offer the best balance of quality workmanship and value we’ve been able to source, so this is where our products come to life.

We recognize there can be concerns when manufacturing in these regions, so all of our major suppliers must comply with a Supplier Code of Conduct. We also work closely with each supplier to ensure staff are treated well and that environmental and social responsibilities are taken seriously.

Does my laptop, MacBook, iPad and iPhone fit in the bag?

At Evan Red we like our pockets for 13 inch laptops/MacBooks, iPads and iPhones to have a good and snug fit. All of our products are designed to fit your (max 13") laptop, phone and ipad perfectly, to ensure your devices stay inside the bag and provide optimum protection. If you are unsure whether a phone, tablet or laptop will fit into a product, please feel free to email us to check, which will help to avoid the hassle of you having to return your item. 

Are the bags heavy?

Although Evan Red products are made with premium quality leather, our bags have been designed so they are reasonably light for leather bags and weigh no more than around 1.7kg.

How will my purchase be packaged?

We have custom made luxury dust bags and cardboard boxes protecting the bags as much as we can.

Do you have a product warranty?

We endeavour to make goods that you can enjoy for a long time. We love if you use your product every day and we want it to be something you can't live without. But we also encourage you to take care of your Evan Red goods and treasure them. Items that get heavy everyday use also wear down so they may need a small repair or clean now and again.

In the unlikely event that something breaks within six months, please contact us immediately via  info@evanred.com so we can determine what has happened and find a solution.

Can you repair my product?

We offer a repair service if something breaks outside the 6 month warranty (depending on the product and issue). If you think that the repair needs our specialists please contact us at info@evanred.com with pictures of the problem and we will send you a quote for the estimated repair cost and shipping.

Please note that once we receive the product back it will take around 4-6 weeks for the repair. (If the product is over 6 months old we may have to use a different colour leather/thread/materials that may not match your original product 100%.)
We know that it might be pretty hard to live without your beloved Evan Red for a few weeks, sometimes all it needs is just small simple stitching repair which can be done quick and easy by a local leather repair shop. 

If you are not quite sure what to do, send us a picture and we can let you know how it can be repaired locally or if it has to go on a recreation trip to the Netherlands.

Where can I buy Evan Red?

We sell exclusively from our online store and do not have a physical retail store.  

We appreciate that this can make choosing a bit more difficult.  However, we do operate a 30 days from delivery return policy where we will offer a refund or store credit (excluding shipping costs) should you decide that you are not 100% happy with your purchase.

What if the product I want is sold out?

If the item you’re looking for has now sold out, you can usually sign up on the product page to be notified but please feel free to email us at info@evanred.com and we'll try to give you an idea of when it will be available again.

Do the product prices include VAT?

If you're browsing our site in the EU then you'll see the prices including VAT. Within Europe we are obliged to charge 20%/21% tax on products and shipping, 19% tax is charged for orders shipping to Germany. This will be shown when you go through your order during checkout and will be broken down accordingly.

If your delivery address is Australia, 10% GST is included in the total price and you will not be required to pay import fees on delivery.

If you're in the EU and using a VPN set to a location outside the EU then you may not see the price including VAT. This will be corrected at the checkout.

If you're browsing our site outside the EU then you'll see the prices without VAT.
